The implementation of providing scores based on each Criterion has been very been eye-opening and insightful. I notice that my grades are reflective of student ability. I feel like I have a really good understanding of each student's progress and how well they are understanding the concepts we are going over. Although this can be daunting, students continually have the ability to improve scores after feedback is administered and they are provided additional guidance. I love that students always have the opportunity to improve and continually show what they know rather than earning a transactional grade based on effort.

I like the idea of tracking student progress with SB Learning/Grading. I like the switch over to rubrics. The concern I have the most has to do with student/family understanding this type of learning and grading. Our students are already very disconnected, I have a feeling that further confusion on students over what's expected of them and how they're being assessed will lead to more disinterest in completing any work. An issue that I believe is already a serious one. How will we educate our students on this? How will we motivate our students to reengage with their curriculum and understand the importance of the completion of their work.
