It is a non-fiction text about Black leaders (women, in this one). Vashti Harrison wrote a series of books like this for different ages. I like it because it provides brief biographies of African American leaders-- inventors, astronauts, scientists, etc. This book provides a mirror for African American young children.

This story shows a boy with his grandmother, taking a bus, and having a conversation about what they don't have/have. It is a book that reframes the things you don't have into what you do have instead. I love this story!
