         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Women's Auxiliary Army Crops were greatly needed in the military's work force and was pushed by the Army Chief of Staff General George Marshal. Women volunteers would serve in noncombat positions. With some of congress disagreeing with this bill, ultimately the bill one and became law on May 15, 1942. Even though the WAAC had an official status and was given salary, most of the benefits went for the male soldiers.</div>]]></description>

The ORSD made major improvements in radars and sonars, technology to sense and locate anything underwater, like submarines. Also made advancements in the DDT to fight off lice and other small insects. They made 🤬 and medicines that helps save countless lives. The OSRD major accomplishment was the atomic bomb, a bomb that release enormous amount of energy. </div>]]></description>
