我爸爸小時候還不懂事，常常拿起木箱中的器具圖鎮，當鐵餅玩耍…當被爺爺發現時，都會被狠狠地臭罵一頓！

我的難爺出生在一個歷經戰火洗禮的小農村，因為戰爭，食物不夠吃，同村的人一個接著一倜餓死，迫於無奈，他只好去投靠軍人親眼，没想到他們就撤退來矗了。
從此爺爺就和家人無法再見面，我想他在臨終前
可能依然深深恩念著家人，希望能再見他們一面

照片凍結時間，記憶使每個美好的瞬間化為永恆。拾起記憶，將一張張泛黃的老照片串起，連成一道名為生命的璀璨銀河。

對於爺爺奶奶來說，信仰就像永恆不變的北極星，照亮了兩人生命中的每個角落，從少年到年邁，從青澀到成熟，從家鄉到異國。

那把十字架，是爺爺勇敢的起點，也是奶奶溫柔的源頭。

這幅作品以水墨工筆畫的方式，一筆一筆細細勾勒出回不去的過往，以及爺爺奶奶想傳承予我家的精神。

圖中是他們在台東，做了客家美食—米苔目，這也是他們退休的生活，很愜意。爺爺奶奶時常搭著火車台東台中往返，每次回來時我都會去找他們跟爺奶聊聊天問他們說那樣往返會不會累啊，他們告訴我在這過程很享受很舒服也很自在。奶奶是客家人，台灣的客家美食都難不到她，爺爺則是奶奶的小幫手，米苔目看似作法簡單，實際上是經過各種科學變化，每一道程序缺一不可，這門技術只可意會，無法言傳，每次吃的時候總是讓人讚不絕口！這種是無法言語的幸福，成為說故事的人，表達出爺爺奶奶的精彩生活與客家文化的精神！by 范瀞予

創作理念：我的家人一開始在越南工作，後來轉去台灣，當年爸媽什麼都沒有，漸漸的開始創業有了錢，並生下我和弟弟。這是他們當年的結婚照，前景兩個人幸福的笑著，背景則是兩人一起照顧寶寶，雖然辛苦，但依然微笑著。白手起家剛開始沒有任何成就，但只要經過努力，一定會更好！

阿公以前是種黑杮蕃茄的，因為它的病蟲害愈來愈麻煩，阿公的兒女們都希望阿公與阿婆可以好好退休，不要再種蕃茄了，所以，就在我出生的前一年，爸爸告訴阿公希望他可以一起種真柏迎接我的到來，所以，真柏園裡有一顆和我一起長大的童年真柏，阿公偶而也會幫我一起修剪它，這是一棵很有紀念價值的真柏，記錄著我和阿公的點點滴滴。

每次只要外婆跟她的姐妹聚在一起都會一起做超大盆的米苔目，她們都會圍個圈圈邊做邊聊。米苔目有分甜的跟鹹的，鹹的會配上韭菜，甜的則是加入糖水然後米苔目會先用冰塊泡，那樣吃起來會a的。她們姐妹只要一做就可以做一整個早上，她們的住處各奔東西所以呢他們藉由做米苔目來增進姐妹情by范瀞予

爺爺17歲時成為礦工，這是當時撿的九份金礦石，雖然其中含金量不高，但卻是一個充滿回憶的石頭。
爺爺回憶當時礦坑很熱，甚至熱到裸身挖礦，且為了怕礦工偷帶金，管理嚴格，連工作草鞋也不能穿回家，有俗諺：「出外死一個，站厝死歸家」，雖然礦坑危險重重（爆炸、石頭崩落等），但還是因全家生活必須去礦坑工作。
爺爺的礦坑回憶，留下了許多往事，畫面中的爺爺正在挖掘那顆九份金礦石，也是在採集自己的陳年回憶，所以此作名「回憶石」。

我的阿公阿嬤原本生活在溫暖的家庭中，卻被內戰侵擾，
飛機無情的轟炸。阿公便在這些砲彈中死去，阿嬤雖然在內戰僥倖的存活下來，但阿公的死也給阿嬤留下不可磨滅的陰影，當時阿嬤還要照顧還要照顧我爸無形中也給阿嬤許多的壓力，終究阿嬤還是撐不下去身染重病，最後也在病魔的折騰中去天國和阿公見面。
畫面中的紅色大門與門外的飛機殘骸形成對比，紅色大門內是溫暖的家庭，門外則是恐怖的戰爭世界⋯

來自美國的明漢老師，在當地學校的選修班級進行尋根之旅課程，讓學生訪談自己的家人。期待藉由故事交換合作課程，跟台灣至善國中美二「美力島記-說故事的人」進行深層的國際教育交流。

In the painting, sections of film are used to show the wonderful memories of grandpa's life.

Wang zi biao (An old round card toy), marbles, braised pork rice and pig's feet are my grandpa's favorites. and of course there is my grandma.

Grandpa was a student with good grades, a hard-working miner, well-trained “Frogmen”. Grandpa once owned a Vespa and also dug out our family heirloom - Jiufen gold ore!

Today's Grandpa is always smiling and in good health. He often plays golf and lives a leisurely retired life with Grandma.

I am a storyteller. I hope to use my paintbrush to paint my grandfather’s past.

The creation concept is convey the warmth family. My father got married very late. He got thefirst baby at the age 40. Almost everyone saw him, thinking he is my grandfather.
