Acquiring knowledge by study is learning, which is the purpose of education.  For learning to occur the prerequisite is for students to recognize that the subject matter is important.  Learning is bridge building of unfamiliar content.  Learners are a varied and unpredictable group.  Learners actively construct their own understanding through their experiences; they are not passive recipients of information.

Teaching is a process by which I enjoy helping students learn by guiding them through the process both individually, and at other times instructing an entire class, and still encouraging class participation.  Spontaneity is a valued part of teaching. If the teaching appears memorized, and if there are no visual aids, learning will likely not take place. I am a facilitator of learning and as every good cognitive theorist would do, I allow the learners to take center stage.  Students need specific knowledge of their learning results and feedback must be specific. Listening to students’ during class and interjecting my suggestions and-or corrections is teaching. Most importantly communicate, collaboration and cooperation are the key ingredients.
