Choose one and describe how it could lead to violent crime. Then think of a way to intervene in that process to stop it. How would you convince someone that your intervention would work to lower rates of violent crime? What would say to them?

Child abuse

It can lead to violent crimes because it could trun into PTSD causing to reflect their past experience onto their children. A process to stop it could be therapy and receive well medical help. It can help lower violent crimes because it can stop that cycle from continue if the person health from their childhood abuse.

In the reading "Learning by Degrees" by Rebecca Mead is based on how she believes that college is overrated. Rebecca makes great points. She also had great evidence to back up her points being said. Rebecca tends to speak wrong of going to college and saying how this isn't the only way, in which i do agree that there is many different ways to become successful. The thing about her reading is that she tends to not mention any positivity in going to college.

"The Hard Work of Making Hard
Work Easier"

In this essay it is talked about the work that must be put and how to help do it easier. This way people wont have to overwork themselves. There are a lot of hours that get put into constructing a building.

"Escape from the Western Diet" by Michael Pollan

The diets that are done now are becoming more unhealthy. They are so unhealthy that it may cause many different health issues.

"Don't Blame the Eater" by David Zinczenko

When it comes to diets it's always changing through the years. Including fast foods as children and teenagers consume a lot of it.

"What you eat is your business" by Radley Balko

The main idea is that people should be blamed for how their own health is. Rather than to blame the food they should blame their own food choices.

"The American Dream: Dead, Alive, or on Hold?" by Brandon King

The way this essay says how society in a way views the American dream is the main idea of the reading. The dream is now based on the way society puts the status for the dreams rather than oneself.
