Most Hindus do visit temples regularly, or at least occasionally, to pray and make offerings. and chanting invoke the blessings of God and Gods.
There are four main types of worship. puja, aarti, darshan and havan.

Swamis fulfill an essential role in Hindu society and serve as the spiritual and religious leader and minister of his or her Hindu temple or organization.

The type of music they play during these religious times are Indian classical music, Kirtan, Bhajan and other musical genres
