Some students are great memorizers and we need to make sure they have a conceptual understanding.&nbsp;<br><br>I tend to think if a student is getting the answers right, then they have a conceptual understanding, but that isn't always true. I need to have question my students efficiently to make sure they have an understanding and aren't just memorizing. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-"If you don't build a strong foundation, you can't build on it" This stuck out to me! Being in 3rd grade I can definitely see learning gaps with students that have not had that strong foundation and they have only memorized procedures. I know that I need to take a step back and go back to the basics in order to build that conceptual understanding. <br>-I feel like I use data to guide instruction very well. I typically check for understanding during independent work and use that data to pull students that need extra practice or need a complete "reteach" of that lesson/lessons.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our Math Coach has already started mini PDs with us on the SMPs and MTPs, so today's deep dive has refreshed my intent to increase the daily integration of these practices.&nbsp;<br><br>Specifically, I have really focused on MTP 4 and MTP 5 so that my students are developing inquiries to peak their interest and engagement in our math content. I also plan to use more of SMP 3 and SMP 6, as I have made the jump to teaching 3rd grade from 1st grade. I have learned more vocabulary this year in math, so that I can model this language for my students.</div>]]></description>
