Overnight, a wall was laid down to separate East and West Berlin. Marta, a girl who lives in east Berlin, her cousin makes a plan for her family to escape. They end up succeeding and escaping to west berlin. Fast forward 20 years later, and Kurt is also trapped in east berlin and wants out. He ends up escaping and meets an older version of Marta.
