The line “And we formed it, not to give the blessings of liberty, but to secure them; not to the half of ourselves and the half of our posterity, but to the whole people—women as well as men.” stood out to me because back when there was a lot of segregation the idea that white men were in charge or more dominant in the world caused many poc to feel discriminated against. In November of 1872, Susan B was arrested for voting in a federal election before women had gained the right to do so. I found this line very powerful and meaningful because America's motto is "the land of the free", and "all men are created equal", when in reality none of that is being portrayed. Since America was founded we can see in history that BIPOC and women have never been treated the same as white men are, even to this day. This quote is a very big representation on how America is, they say one thing, but historically and statistically it is incorrect. I found this quote important because it is a very valid question. Are women persons? They weren't treated like it until the 1920s, and still today women still struggle with equality. When they say , "we, the people.." they meant the white males, not women, or people of color, or women of color because at that time, white males were considered the dominant ones, and the only ones who could have the right to freedom. I chose this line because it shows that just because we are women does not mean we are not human citizens. This quote is also explaining that no state should add a new law or enforce any law that will lessen women's privileges or rights.

This is an interesting line because they are admitting that the rights between everyone are not equal.
