I am curious about the idea of reviewing key metrics in our team meetings. We do this during our project debriefs, and our metrics are usually project-specific, but I don’t know if there are overall metrics we would want to keep track of and check-in on regularly.

The idea and concept of relational awareness really stuck out to me. It made me think of how I want to be sure that I understand and am mindful of the dynamics of my relationships with one another and external partners. I think this goes with self awareness and it really just made me think of the READY project tbh.

That would ensure that projects that aren’t the focus of the week’s meeting don’t get lost in the shuffle.

While I don't think we need all of the meetings described in Chapter 8, I think there were some nuggets we could borrow to strengthen our existing meeting spaces.

In our Tuesday meetings I like maybe including the "Study Hall Snippets" from the staff meeting structure. We already have a place for previous action items/next steps but I could see us also including things like wins and failures from the previous week and praise/shout outs. I also liked the suggestion of not making this pre-work but giving folks 5-7 minutes during the meeting to add ideas to any category.

1:1 Meetings I liked the idea of scheduling out more intentionally "career conversations" and then also rather using time in 1:1's to share updates I think we can share those asynchronously before a check-in

We have been doing a better job at deciding if we need to meet to discuss things live or if we can do things asynchronously. Doing these actions helps to make sure our calendars aren't being overscheduled.

It could be interesting to use the Performance Review as the lens for our 2X2s or at least for our individual reflections. I use the competencies, but I don’t often think about where I am falling as far as ratings (e.g. meeting expectations or not). Could be interesting to consider before a final review at the end of the year.
