         <title>Wk 10 : Task 9: Screening: Unit 6 (3.1) </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: This Unit, I have been doing a Music Video Project with the few people of my class. We had to get put into a group of 5 people and choose one song that we would want to remake, and make a Parody of that song. It helped me develop my skills further because I got more experience of working in a group task with other people, and got to develop my skills further with Adobe Premier Pro and got used to editing on a software computer. There were 5 jobs for each group, there were (Producer, Director, Editor, Camera Operator, and Production Manager). The group I was with, at the start there were arguments all the time because not everyone got along at first. But after a while, it calmed down a bit and we listened to each other's choice and we all forgot about the arguments and done the work together. But halfway through the unit, one of our group members left and Cliff said that we don't really need the Production Manager, so there were 4 jobs which was easy. <br><br>Do: We finished the Music Video Project by finishing the filming and the editing. It was quite difficult because trying to decide on what shots to do for the Music Video, but we got there in the end. I felt really bad because when we got on to the editing, I was ill and missed a couple of days and I was meant to be the editor, but George did it which I'm thankfully for. I think it was good to have the experience to do a Music Video Project and gain confidence in myself to work with other people.<br><br>Show: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTYYY3JnrgM">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTYYY3JnrgM</a><br><br>Improve: What people liked about my group's Music Video was how we used the clips with cutting to the beat and how they liked the Music Video. They thought the video was really creative and made the clips change from the beats of the song. To improve, they said about how we could have added more effects into the Music Video, and with the Cutting To The Beat, we could have added more Cutting To The Beat throughout of the song. Also, since our song is called Gangster's Paradise, we could have added more people into the Video to make it look like someone's Gangster's Paradise. Also within the shots of Umar walking across Harlow Town Park, we could have done more stuff other than just him walking around Harlow Town Park.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped me with my knowledge was by finishing the filming of the Music Video. This helped me because I got experience filming for a Music Video and go out of the College premises to film in different locations not just in College. It's been really good because I got to do some filming with my group and learn about the basics and the editing side of the Music Video. Also this week, we continued with the Pre-production and hopefully we could finish it when we've done the filming. &nbsp;<br><br>Do: This week, we finished the filming for the Music Videos. It was good because we got to go out of the College premises and film somewhere else. While me, George &amp; Umar were at the Harlow Town Park, Tom stayed behind to do a bit of editing with the shots we did last week. I really liked it because I got to have experience of filming for my Music Video and I'm really enjoying this Unit.<br><br>Show: This is one of the clips of the Music Video we did.&nbsp;<br><br>Improve: To Improve, next week we will be doing the editing and have it done by Next Thursday.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped me with knowledge was by starting my Music Video for my group and know what type of shots we want to do. It helped me because we got to do more group work on our Music Video. We continued with our Pre-production work by discussing more on what shots we could have in the Music Video and how to do them. Also this week, we got to do some recording and done some shots for our MV. <br><br>Do: The new skills I developed was to be able to work independent with myself by saying to myself to just do it and not being disrespectful about it. The scenes we shot were, me holding both of my fist together and on one fist have the work 'love', and the other 'hate'. Also we shot all of my group except the Cameraman, hold our fists in the middle together. Finally we shot all of us with our face in different shots.<br><br>Show: This is an example of our Pre-production that we've been doing. (SEE BELOW!!!!!) <br><br>Improve: To Improve, we could finish off the Music Video next week hopefully, and see how people would react to our MV. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Wk. 7: Task 7: Pre-Production &amp; Pitch: Unit 4 (2.2) &amp; Unit 6 (1.2, 2.1 &amp; 3.1)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Looked through six famous movie scenes.</li><li>Done some recording.&nbsp;</li><li>Acted in the scenes.</li><li>Worked together as a group.</li><li>Done a range of different shots in the scenes.</li><li>Uploaded the clips onto the computer.</li><li>Done a bit of editing.&nbsp;</li></ul><div>Know: This week, I got into my group that I'm working with for my Music Videos. The task we had to do was to do a remake of a scene from one of these films (Alice In Wonderland, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Home Alone, or Kindergarden Cop). After we chose one of the films, we had to re-shoot the scenes by doing the exactly same shots and make it look the same as the actual scene in the film. Then we did the editing to put all of the clips in one scene and make it look realistic and the same in the film. I was quite nervous because I haven't done like this before and it was one of the iconic scenes on Lord Of The Rings. Also with the editing as well because I knew that I had to make the shots from us to make it look the same as the film. But it helped me because now I feel confident for the Music Videos soon.&nbsp;<br><br>Do: The new skills I developed was to be more confident of being on camera acting in the films or Music Videos, and the editing because I am the editor for the Music Videos in a couple of weeks. This week, we had to choose a scene from one of the films that we had to choose from. The films were (Alice In Wonderland, Home Alone, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Kindergarden Cop, and Harry Potter). My group chose Lord Of The Ring because Umar had a ring with was similar to the one in the film. The scene we did was when Frodo was standing above a volcano and he was about to drop and destroy the ring in the fire. The actor were me and Umar, with the cameramen being George and Sami, and Tom wasn't in when we did it on Monday. Afterwards, we edited it together to get all of the clips that we shot and make the scenes look exactly the same as the scene in the Lord Of The Rings. I thought it was good because it built confidence in us all by making us be prepared for when we go and do our Music Video. Also this week, we continued on our plan on the Music Videos with what shots we are going to do, and where we could shot the scenes. <br><br>Show: This is one of the clips from my group's remake of Lord Of The Rings. <br><br>Improve: To improve, I could spend more time on the editing just to get me used to doing the editing from when we go to do our Music Videos. Also I wish that we could finish of the editing from our remake. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Wk. 6: Task 6: Production Meetings: Unit 6 (1.2) &amp; Unit 4 (2.2)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped me with my knowledge by working with my production group and have a meeting about the Music Video we're doing, and have some ideas about what we could do for our remake of the song of our chose. I was quite nervous about it at first because if I gave my ideas, I thought it would be stupid and not something we could do for our Music Video. But then I came out of my comfort zone and said my ideas and the chose of song that we are going to do. It helped me developed my skills further by saying what we could do in Music Videos and gave my ideas out. We came to an agreement of what song we're going to do and we're also working on writing ideas for the Video in a couple of weeks.&nbsp;<br><br>Do: The new skills I developed was to be more of a team player and working with others to drop ideas or what our chosen song could be and the Music Video as well.&nbsp;In my group is me, Umar, George, Tom, and Sami. We came to an agreement of our chosen, which was Gangsta's Paradise but in a Dubstep Version because we wanted to spice it more a little bit and not do the Original Version, we wanted to do the Dubstep Version. The Gangsta's Paradise song was Umar's idea and we came to an agreement with that song because people would know that song because it was really popular back in the day and people probably still like the song now. This week, we all been having a couple of production meetings to discuss on what song we're going to be doing for our Music Video, and the ideas of Video to make it look different from the original Music Videos for the song. Also this week, We've been doing our Storyboards to discuss what we could do in the Video and we came up with a lot of ideas for the Scenes, the Costumes, and if we are having Actors or Dancers in the Music Video.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Show: At the bottom is one of our Storyboards that we been doing this week with our idea for the Music Video.<br><br>Improve: To improve, my group could work together more because some of the time, there have been some argument that been going on.          <title>Wk. 5: Task 5: Crew Profile: Unit 4 (1.1)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that help me with my knowledge by doing some research about what a Director, Producer, Camera Operator, and Editor does in the productions. I wasn't too sure on what they do in their production because I had a couple of ideas of what they do but wasn't sure. The other activity was to work as team for when I go to do my Music Videos in a couple of weeks. The groups I got put into this week will the people that I'm working with for the Music Videos which I'm looking forward to.&nbsp;<br><br>Do: The new skills I developed was to do some research about what a Director, Producer, Camera Operator, and Editor and what they do behind the scenes during their productions. I did that by using the internet to research what they do behind the scenes and how they do it. For one of the tasks, I had to do some research the Music Videos that Karl selected for us last week, and find out who the Director, Producer and the Editor is, and it gave me some ideas for the Music Videos I could do. In my group is me, Thomas, George, Umar, and Sami. Another task I did this week was to get put into groups of 5 and that group would be the ones that I'm doing my Music Videos. We did to decide on among us and choose who's going to be a Director, Producer, Camera Operator, Editor, and a PR Production who does like the vlogs or films the behind the scenes stuff you would see in Music Videos or on the extra on DVDs. I am going to be a editor with the Director as Tom, Producer will be Umar, Sami will be the Camera Operator, and George being the PR Production because he wasn't in this week, so we gave him the job that was left. The final task was to create a Crew Profile and write about who will have the job roles? and write about why? <br><br>Show: At the bottom of the Diary is one of my work I have done this week. <br><br>Improve: To Improve, I wish my group would stop arguing because literally the day we got put in our groups, Thomas, Umar, and Sami had a massive argument so hopefully that won't carry on when we do our Music Videos.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Wk 4: Task 4: Mind Map &amp; Pitch: Unit 4 (2.1) Unit 6 (1.1 &amp; 2.1)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped me developed my skills further by researching about the things that have been used in Music Videos. It helped me because I got to see what kind of props are used and what kind of costumes that artists or bands wear in Music Video. Also this week, I got to work a little bit more on group tasks just to get more used to working together for when we work on our Music Videos in the next couple of weeks. It's also another way of getting to know everyone in the group and give a little thinking of who I'd want to work with when we go to do Music Videos. This week, I made a multiple of Mind Maps and have a look at the Music Videos to see what they use in the Videos and give me a little idea of what I could included in my Music Videos in the few weeks.&nbsp;<br><br>Do: The new skills I developed&nbsp;was to make a lot of Mind Maps with the songs that was chosen by my teachers and have a think of what they use in Music Videos and what I could do over the next few weeks. This week, I had been selected 5 Music Videos and find out what they use in their Music Videos, for example; (Props, Costumes, Set/Location, Equipment, Editing Techniques, Styles, Shot Types, Lyric Meaning, Health &amp; Safety, and Audience). On Padlet, I used the Canvas wall so that I'd have a screen shot of the Music Video in the middle, and put the information on the outside around it. I thought it was good because it gave me some ideas for when I go to do my Music Videos later on in the Unit, and when I'm working with my group as well. Also this week, I did a couple of group work tasks to get used to working in groups for the next few weeks. The task we did to do was choose one song from different eras from our research, and choose 5 words to describe the Music Videos and find the meaning to the words. The another task we had to do was imagine if we had a plane crash and we were on a desert island, and we had to choose 8 objects laying in the room. It was good because I got to work in a group with my classmates and be ready for my Music Videos in the couples of weeks.<br><br>Improve: To Improve, I wish we could have the work explained to us more because sometimes, I don't understand what I'm doing or how I'm meant to do my work. For next week, I would like to know who's in my group because then I'll have an idea of what to do in the Music Video.          <title>Wk. 3:Task 3: Techniques of Music Videos: Unit 4 (1.1; 2.1) &amp; Unit 6 (1.1)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped me develop my skills further by using the internet to research Music Videos that could use either the techniques on the video. the techniques are (Cutting To Beat, Miming and Lip Syncing, Multi-Image, Camera Movements, and Animation.) After that, I posted the link onto a Padlet post with the Music Video as well. Also I learnt how important it is to work as a team because when I go to do my Music Videos with other people, I will need to work as a team. I learnt how from a still image, I could think a number of songs that would go with my Final 4 Image from Unit 1&amp;2.&nbsp;<br><br>Do: The new skills I developed was by using the internet and researching Music Videos from different eras (70s, 80s, 90s, 00, 10s) and found out how it links to the techniques. This week, I researched Music Videos from different eras (70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10,) and decided on how to link to the techniques that are (Cutting To Beat, Miming and Lip Syncing, Multi-Image, Camera Movements, Animation). I had to do one each other from different eras just to see the difference from how it was from the 1970s to the up to date songs right now. I thought it was good because I got to see how different it was from the 1970s and to nowadays music. Also this week, I learnt the important of teamwork because later on in the Unit, I&nbsp;was start to do my own Music Videos with my group (Me, Harry, Umar, Anna, Sami) so I had to learn how to work together. We did a couple of activity to get used to working together in which we did a colouring challenge where we had to draw lines using the coloured pens from lightest to darkest, but that didn't go plan in the end. Also we had to build a tower using 8 sticks and a tennis ball which did go well. Also this week, from my Formal Elements Final images, I had to find one song from different eras for my Formal Elements. <br><br>Improve: To improve, I think we should do more teamwork activities before we do our Music Videos because we think we need to do it just so everyone got that confidence for the Music Videos later on in the Unit. Also when we are doing work on Padlet, I need someone to explain it more everyone in the class because we don't fully understand on what we have to do. <br><br>Show: This is my work from this week for my Techniques of Music Videos.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped me with my knowledge by researching the songs from different eras that could represent different styles of music videos. I now know what the different styles of music videos are and how they're used in music videos. The different styles of music videos are (In-Concert and Live Footage, Narrative, Parody, and Influence of Commercials) and I know how it would be used for different music videos. I got better understanding of different styles of music videos by researching songs from different eras and how it could be used in music videos. On Padlet, I had research the songs from different eras and decide on how the styles can be used. Also this week, I learn the different techniques of music videos that could be used. The techniques are (Cutting to Beat, Miming and Lip Sync, Multi-image, Camera Movements, and Animation).&nbsp;<br><br>Do: This week, the new skills that I developed was to find some information and songs that could represent either (In Concert-Live Footage, Narrative, Parody, and Influence of Commercials). When I found the songs from different eras that represent either one of the different styles of music videos, I put them in a Padlet post where I'd put my videos onto. On the internet, I researched 1970's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, and 10's songs and had a look to see if that music videos represent either the different styles of music videos. I had to look for one songs each different eras and different styles of music videos, so I got a better understanding at what and how that song could represent that specific style. Also this week, I started on Task 3 where I had to do the similar thing I did for Task 2. Which was to research the different techniques that could be used in Music Videos, For examples (Cutting to Beat, Miming and Lip Sync, Multi-Image, Camera Movements, Animation). For that, I had to research songs from different eras that could represent that specific technique of Music Videos. That task doesn't have to be due till next Thursday but everyone in the class has made a start on it. Also I had to re-write the songs I researched and make it into a Parody and a Commercial, either write it or voice record it.  &nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>Improve: The improvements that I need to work on is work a bit more speed because half of the week, I had exams so I missed on the lessons which gave me a less time to do my work. Also I need to work on asking for help because some of the work, I didn't understand what I had to do in the lessons. What could help me is when Delta took over a lesson, she went through in details of what the styles and techniques from Music Videos that could be done. But when Karl was teaching us, he didn't explain what we had to do in the lessons, so I think not just me but everyone in class, would like it if we were explained in detail of what I had to do just like when Delta was teaching us. <br><br>Show: This is my Padlet of the different styles of Music Videos.          <title>Wk. 1. Task 1: Explore Urban &amp; Nature: Unit 4 (1.1) &amp; Unit 6 (1.1)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Know: The activity that helped my with knowledge and helped me develop my skills further by working on Padlet to find the images that present Urban + Nature. I didn't know the difference between Nature and Urban, also I found out what it actually means. I also found out how Urban and Nature can be used in Music Videos and how it represents. This week, I also learned how to put all of my images on Padlet and load it all onto my Documents and how often it can be used in Music Videos. Also I've learned the different styles of Music Videos which are: In-concert and live footage, Narrative, Parody and Influence of commercials. I didn't know the real styles of Music Videos that are being used.&nbsp;<br><br>Do: This week, I looked up what Urban and Nature actually mean and it gives me an idea of how it can be used in Music Videos. Urban means man made, for example buildings, and Nature means Grass, Tree and none man made. On Padlet, I looked up 6 images for Urban and 6 images for Nature, so I can see the difference between Urban and Nature. I looked on Google Chrome to look for Urban and Nature images and put in my Padlet post for my example by copy and pasting, so I have a better understanding of the Urban and Nature. Afterwards, I put my images in my personal Documents so I can start editing it on Photoshop. On Photoshop, I had to edit my original images three times in different ways, just to give it more detail and not just looking the same. I edited my work by using Black and White, Curves, brightness and Contrast, and others just to play around by making it look creative for not just for me but for the people looking at the images. Finally I put my all of my work together and made a 2 by 2 contract sheet for all the images to make 12 contract sheets. I started on Task 2 which I found out the different kinds of Music Videos you would see, which are: In-concert and live footage, Narrative, Parody and Influence of commercials, and it made me feel interested.&nbsp;I made a start on finding 4 of the Music Videos from different eras that represent the 4 styles&nbsp;of Music Videos.<br><br>Improve: To Improve, I finished the Task 2 work before the end of next week because that's when the work has to due in. Also I need to finish of my Contract Sheets because I've only got 5 done yesterday and I needed to do 12 Contract Sheet all by yesterday, so I need to get that as soon as possible.<br><br>Show: This is one of my Contract Sheets I did yesterday.
