Being Reflective... a step that I need to take in order to become a better leader is to be reflective. Meaning, I should take time a couple of times a week and write about how I'm feeling. Emotionally and physically. Write or talk about my work load and maybe even some goals for the upcoming days. I chose this practice because I struggle sharing my emotions. Writing them would at least get them off my chest and feel that relief. Reflecting daily is known to improve mental health and a good leader must have a good mindset.
Timeline: On April 30th, I will begin a daily journal for a month. On May 31, I'll take a moment to think about any improvements or relief I have experienced in the past month. May will be very busy and overwhelming for me so I am interested to see how if will affect me.

Be responsive...this is a step that I need to perfect to become the best leader for others. I chose this practice because I lack the simple skills of being an active listener and good communicator. Of course I can talk and listen, but I don't do it well enough to be the best leader for those around me. In order to make this a daily habit, I shared it with those who I lead. They will be the ones who benefit from it and hold my accountable. When I slip up or don't take it that serious they will be there to put me back on track.
Timeline: I only have a few more meetings left with my club. I want to randomly select some members to rate me consistently for the next 4 or so meetings that way I can see my progress and areas of improvement. Our last meeting would be the 24th and my hopes is that everyone in the room can notice my changes.
