Having the ability to discern and solve issues can help others relax and make work easier. The higher Emotional Quotient, or EQ, the more happy and fulfilling a job can be. This can also allow for greater bonds and overall trust between a group of 2 and above. This great skill also helps deal with anxiety and depression and communication to keep your future job positive.

In paragraph four, the author states," Being able to build relationships, relate to other people in any given social situation, work as part of a team and negotiate any conflicts that may arise, are prominent core elements to social emotional intelligence." This paragraph when summarized means being able to communicate to others, solving social situations, and working together to solve issues. All of these skills can be used to make working at a company easier and less difficult.

Something that is present throughout the text is evidence to back up the writers claim. (It has no counterpoint but that's not on topic) Meany times you can see statements such as "The skill of conflict resolution is one many people wish they had." And while this might not be solid evidence, it could still get the same affect as actual evidence.

I noticed the author had several different paragraphs, and each one talked about just one benefit of good EQ. In one paragraph it said how it can help with making friends. In another paragraph it said how it can help in fixing problems because you can see the other side of the argument. This helped me better understand the article because by putting it in different paragraphs, I was able to focus on just one benefit so I was able to take more away at the end.

In the fifth paragraph, the author states,"Think about your mental well-being. Many of today’s young people deal with stress and pressure each day. Those who lack the skills to deal with these stresses have a higher chance of acting out due to a lack of mental well-being. Having emotional intelligence skills affects both your outlook and attitude. It can also help get rid of anxiety, help you deal with mood swings and avoid depression." One reason why I chose this paragraph from the article is I used to act out in class. Something that helped me solve that issue was limiting the amount of people I talked to at school so I could focus harder and letting it all out at home. Another reason I picked this paragraph was I used to have anxiety, so I started following a tight schedule so I didn't have to worry as much because everything would be the same every single day, so there would be basically nothing to be anxiou about.
