I would make sure to take action immediately after reading this, as tensions are high and will escalate quickly without intervention. 

Instead of talking to just the form teacher of the class, I will now invite both the form teacher and the student involved to my office for a face-to-face chat. I would express my appreciation to the student for responding calmly and not using expletives, and try to find out more about the situation, and about why the other student responded more aggressively.

I will then invite the other student in to hear their point of view personally, then proceed to advise them not to respond any further as the school will now takeover the case. The form teacher will follow up on this course of action.

Finally, I will invite Alice and her mother in and request them to both delete the post, and refrain from making such aggressive threats, as this will only further worsen the situation. I will then suggest a sitdown with Alice and the other student alone - without external influence, in the hope of coming to an understanding between the two. I will ask the Principal and any appropriate personnel for advice and see whether we can have a talk with both Alice's mum and all the other parties involved in this issue. 

By meeting face to face, it will be easier to communicate among all parties and to clarify all events of the issue. The school counsellor will also be required to offer counselling to all affected parties and hopefully the situation will be resolved.

Currently, the bullies have found a concrete reason to target Alice i.e. that she is a mummy's girl.

Although I would love to convince Alice's mum that her own actions have made things worse for her daughter, she seems in this case to be irrational and emotional. It is not wise to be personally involved, and higher authorities have to be alerted. In this case, it may be effective to bring both Alice and her mother into conversation with the FTSC. Both of them require psychological and emotional guidance.

I will speak sternly to the class and reiterate my perspective that cyberbullying is undesirable regardless of the victim's actual identity. I will ask students to take the initiative to own up for their actions. Logical consequences (Dreikurs) need to be implemented in accordance with the Discipline Committee.
