The first scene shows Eminem in what you believe to be an AA or drug addict meeting. This gives the emotion that he is struggling but trying to get better. 
Another example of pathos is just a little bit after the first one when Eminem stands up on the podium and starts to speak to the other members. In this scene you see him get up and start to speak and his body language gets more serious and he starts to move like he is telling something with aggression.
