Curiosidade geográfica: Como muitos pratos clássicos, a panqueca não tem uma história certa, mas existem evidências de que ela surgiu há muito, muito tempo, ainda na Europa pré-histórica. A história conta que há mais de  mil anos, uma camponesa tenha derramado sem querer um pouco de mingau no fogão e criado a primeira panqueca.

Ao passar dos anos, a panqueca se tornou algo consumido em toda a Europa, até que milhares de anos depois, os franceses (criadores do conceito de culinária) assumiram a autoria da receita, chamando as de crepes, com diversos recheios e molhos para deliciar a qualquer pessoa.
