On September 1st Germany invaded Poland, initiating World War II in Europe. Soon after German leaders began enforcing their racial policies.

Operation Barbarossa was code name for the Soviet Union by the Nazi Germany which started on the 22nd of June 1941, during World War II.

The Wannasee conference was a meeting gathered with German government officials and high ranking Nazis. Together they planned their policies and encouraging Jews to leave.

Auschwitz was the largest concentration camp and death camp filled with 40 camps operated by Nazi Germans. Of the 1.3 million Jews brought to the camps 1.1 million were murdered. This is a perfect example of their overall goal which was one expansion but to eliminate Jews.

Rudolf Hoess was born on November 25th, 1901 in the german Empire and died on April 16th 1947 in Auschwitz Poland. He was the longest serving commandant of Auschwitz and after the war he was imprisoned and sentenced to execution. All though he was the commandant in a book he wrote "The commandant" you can see insight that he was not in interest in Hitlers policies and final goal. This does not bring light to the fact that he was involved with the killings of millions.
