It proves their healthcare coverage and stores their medical records. The system was first established in the 1990s and is a healthcare system that covers everybody on the island. Citizens pay for healthcare through taxes. It’s a good deal, but it is hard on the doctors and the hospitals are always crowded. I think America should try this system even though it has its cons. America’s healthcare system is extremely flawed and discriminatory towards minorities and people of lower economic status. I constantly hear complaints over their system. Most Americans don’t have any health insurance and it’s STILL very expensive for the government.

PROS:
1. Lowers healthcare costs for the economy.

2. There would be less health insurance agencies to deal with and it would be less confusing

3. All doctors/hospitals would be forced to be of the same quality

4. More people would have access to healthcare

CONS:
1. It’s very expensive for the government

2. It would definitely have some trouble getting started.

3. Doctors aren’t as well paid
