Introduction to Family Counselling training course, Yateley

We are excited to be able to offer this new ‘Introduction to Family Counselling' CPD course. This course is aimed at qualified counsellors who are interested in working with the whole family and will give a taster of what it is like to work with the whole family in the counselling room. If you sign up before 1^st July 2025 then you can take advantage of the early bird fee of £600. After this date the cost of the course will be £700.

Sessions will take place in Yateley on Saturdays from 9:00 until 16:00 on the following dates:

New lottery aims to raise funds for grassroots sports clubs

Community sport charity Sported is launching the Grassroots Sport Lottery to try to fill the funding gap that threatens may clubs’ viability. The lottery is being set up in partnership with lottery operator Gatherwell and will allow Sported – founded in 2008 as a legacy initiative from London 2012 – to inject extra investment into local sport for good initiatives. It will also enable grassroots groups to run their own lotteries to finance items such as equipment and facilities, as well as keeping physical activity accessible to all within their communities. Tickets for the lottery will cost £1 with a draw each Saturday and a top prize of £25,000 – with half of the price of each ticket going directly back into grassroots sport. Action Hampshire are currently delivering community engagement on behalf of Healthwatch Hampshire to gather health and social care feedback from Hampshire residents.

Who – Action Hampshire and Healthwatch Hampshire are looking to connect with community organisations working across Hampshire (excluding Portsmouth & Southampton) to invite you to apply for £250 unrestricted funding.

What – Participating organisations will need to gather feedback from 15 community members on their experiences of health and social care in Hampshire. Feedback can be given as a group or by individuals - these can be service users, volunteers, staff or other local contacts. The feedback form can be accessed online or given out as a hard copy.

Why - Healthwatch Hampshire is our local health and social care champion. They are an independent organisation who gather feedback from Hampshire residents. After the success of The Hart Youth Achievement Awards over the last couple of years, Fleet Phoenix are excited to announce the 2025 Hart Youth Achievement Awards! These will once again celebrate the amazing work and successes of young people locally. We want to publicly recognise the talented, community focused and giving young people we have in Hart District. With the help of a range of community partners, we are here to remind the community, and the young people themselves, about all the positive attributes they contribute to our area. This is where you come in. Fleet Phoenix are asking for all members of the community to nominate those young people who need celebrating. The young people also must live or be educated in Hart District.

Nominations are open until 26 September, so there's plenty of time to add to your nominations as the year continues and the celebratory event will be in October. You will see below the categories and each one has an award for (except for group):

Asda Local Community Spaces Fund

£10,000 to £20,000 for UK community groups to allow them to provide safe spaces for people to meet and be together. The application window closes 28 May, 10am, but may close early if they are oversubscribed. To be eligible to apply for this fund, your community space must be an accessible place where members of the community can interact, seek support and access a variety of services and activities. Aerobility - Picnic by the Planes - 28 June - Blackbushe Airport

You’re invited to join Aerobility for an evening picnic by the planes. Bring your own picnic and drinks (alcohol permitted), plus a blanket or deck chair, and relax amongst the interesting visiting aircraft for a fun evening with the Aerobility community. The whole family is welcome (except for dogs unfortunately). There will be a raffle on the night with some great prizes to be won and a chance for you to help raise money for Aerobility. This event is FREE to attend, however you must book your place for every adult and child (16 years or under) wishing to attend. This can be people in a particular cohort, geography or with specific needs. Projects can, for example support People on Probation to improve their opportunities, skills, community links or current circumstances. Any one project can be funded to a maximum of 10K excluding VAT. South Central Probation Service are unlikely to be able to fund organisations that have already received this kind of funding or are delivering a service previously purchased. We are now recycling inkjet cartridges (branded only - see poster above) through one of our "portals". So do drop these in when you are passing through the shopping centre - the Fleet BID branded shop-front several doors away from Waitrose. Thanks!
