In 1944, Jan was captured by the Nazis, but his wife and son kept helping Jews at the zoo. Even after her parents died, she didn’t let that stop her from helping those escaping capture by the Nazis. Unfortunately, most of the Zoo was damaged by bombings from the Nazis. Regardless, she stopped at nothing to help the Jews and sh even went as far as to dye the hair of a Jewish family to seal their identity. This movie shows exactly what they did and the everlasting impact of being brave and taking a stand for what you believe is right. Throughout the movie, there is a lot of important information shared about the Zabinski's life and the reason for their amazing and brave actions. There are plenty of relevant quotes throughout the movie but there is one that stood out to me. “I was raised with these people.
