The Jews were slowly corralled into different regions to avoid persecution or to get work papers or citizen papers. The Rohingya are also being run out of their villages, and because they have no place to go and no way to work, they are being further persecuted (but the persecutors are feeling justified to rid themselves of a burdensome group). They are not allowed to travel to the US (which I wonder about the effectiveness of this, but I assume if a multitude of countries did this, it would have potential to be effective). I found out from my interview that there is a group called Fortify Rights that have people on the ground interviewing people about their experiences.
