(post 1) Ted Talk: How Baltimore Called a ceasefire

Summary: What I understood the talk was about was that people joined together and created ceasefire, and they were handing out posters and flyers and a lot of people were actually trying to get involved. Ceasefire was created to get the violence off the streets from Baltimore.
Reflection: I feel like this talk meant a lot for many different people. This was important to me because I known people that have died because of street violence. I would want someone to watch this video because it shows how people out there are trying to make a change to stop street violence. One quote that stood out to me was when Erricka Bridgeford said "For a day there was no murders" This quote stood out to me because because some of the people who joined Ceasefire and tried to make a change got shot and killed the next day.

(Post #2)What To Do If ICE Are at Your Door

Reflection: The two useful things that I found in this ACLU resource is that you have rights and when ICE agents are knocking at your door you don't have to open the door you can negotiate with the door closed. You have to keep your calm when talking to ICE agents. ICE agent can not enter your home if they don't have a court warrant signed by a judge. Second if ICE agent want to enter by force keep your calm and don't resist for this can make the situation worse.

(Post#3)Kendrick Lamar-Alright:

Reflection: This song is about black lives matters. Kendrick Lamar wrote this song because a group of young kids were protesting. This started when the police arrested a 14 yr old protester, and people started to chant the song alright.

(Post #8)7 Times in history when students turned to activism.

Summary: These students walked out of their high schools to protest aging gun violence and gun rights. These students have taken the cause of gun control. Some students who protested against these gun rights were successful and other students were brutally crushed.
Analysis: These students who protest to make a change don't really get heard and it's makes it harder for them to make something happen. Some impacts that these actions have is that student get a lot of hate because a lot of people have different opinions about guns. I think the we can feel the impact of these student because they have lost people the care about because of gun violence.
Reflection: I think it is important for students to for students to get involved in political activism. I think this because there are a lot of students that are trying to make a change. If more students start to get involved in political activism they can make a change and have more people have different opinions.

This photo is of gun Control in America. In the image we see a gun with the American flag painted over the gun. This image is powerful because it shows how gun control is getting out of hand and how some people want to change the gun right and some people want to keep the same gun rights. This issue matters to me because I don't want gun rights to change, I would like the gun rights to stay the same because I want to own one in the future for protection. This image is from the political issue of Gun control.

Based on my political belief I am a moderate. For example I believe the gun rights should stay the same which tend to be more liberal view. In addition gun control is important to me which reflects a more moderate view.

I heard about politics when I was in middle school. I could never understand politics even to this day I still don't understand it.
