It was a gorgeous day I was out shed hunting after a harsh winter, when I stumble across a log and caught myself against this very large boulder like rock. After getting myself together I examined the boulder and realizing it looked very familiar almost like the one that was discovered at a lake.
    Afterwards I went home to go look for mom she used to collect fossils when she was younger she may know what this is. 
   Hi mom I found this really cool rock, could you come look at it with me? 
   Sure mom said.
   Mom and I walked to the location once we got there mom knew exactly what it was by the look on her face.
   Mom do you know what this is? 
   Mom asked me if I could guess what it is? 
   I said I think a tree fossil? 
   Mom said Joshua you are correct. 
   Mom said trees that are submerged under water for centuries turn into petrified rock which is a tree fossil. 
   COOL mom this is an awesome find! 
   Thanks mom for all your help identifying my discovery.

 In addition mom and I went back home and researched to see all the other findings, turns out their hasn't been a lot of discoveries which is cool that I have found a petrified tree. So this is the beginning of my Search for History.
