Consider the following narrative:
The ridges of the islands that constitute the Caribbean are subdivided into the GREATER and LESSER ANTILLES. The Greater Antilles consists of Cuba, Haiti/ Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. The Lesser Antilles forms two parallel chains of islands and included its outermost chain, Anguilla and Antigua and Barbuda while its inner chain included those islands running through Grenada. The island of Trinidad and Tobago lie just south of this chain and Barbados is to the East.
1. Research the terms Leeward and Windward islands. Using a presentation software tool such as Powerpoint, upload your findings to the course discussion link for this exercise. If you can locate free for download maps that illustrate the locations, you are required to include them in your submission and comment on any differences shown in the maps. Remember to cite your sources.
2. The term "circum Caribbean" has been used to describe those land masses in South and Central America surrounding the Caribbean Sea. Do you think they should be considered part of the "Caribbean"? Give a 100 word maximum word response to your opinion.
