  • Delusions cause one to have unrealistic thoughts of persecution, being harmed by and individual or organization such as, robbing one of their soul 
  • Grandiose delusions cause one to believe they are superior, wealthy, famous and believe they are capable of things  no one else can do. Common form in schizophrenia is the belief the are Jesus Christ and can do superhuman things 
  • Delusions of control cause one to believe they are being controlled by a puppet master 
  • Erotomanic delusions cause one to believe another person is in love with him/ her
  • Nihilistic delusions cause one to believe a catastrophe is going to occur like an apocalypse and has devoted much time in preparation
