Tourettes syndrome is a invisible and neurological disability that effects the brain. It causes people with it to do things repeatedly and have little control over it, those things are called tics. Also there is somethings called extreme tourettes and minor tourettes, which are true to their name.

What is the function of the nervous system?

The function of the nervous system is to help you do motor skills related things and keep you safe by pulling you back whenever you touch something dangerous like a hot stove. The brain, another part of the nervous system is responsible for telling your body what to do, by being connected to the nerves of your body. The nerves touch something dangerous like the stove I talked about earlier and send a impulse to the brain, which sends a impulse to your hand to pull back preventing a scar you got from the one time your nerves weren't working. Also you have nerves all over your body.

Tourettes syndrome doesn't really impact it, it isn't harmful or fatal, yes some cases of tourettes are a bit extreme, but even if it's that, it's still not that harmful.(But it could be pretty harmful to your social life, which I'm going to talk about later) There is a impact ( at least I think it is), it is that it tire's you easily, I think it's because if you have tourettes you do things like blinking repeatedly which will make your eyes water and tired.
