         <description><![CDATA[<div>As everyone knows, deserts are very hot and dry, this is because they're very close to the equator. Usually within 30° North or South of the equator. Deserts are also very dry because they only receive less than 10 inches of rainfall a year on average. Temperatures can range from 104°F during the day all the way down to 25°F at night.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most of the topography are relatively small sand dunes that change regularly due to wind pushing sand around. Due to how close deserts are to the equator,  and the lack of land features or plants that catch the solar radiation, it receives a LOT of it, explaining the intense heat of deserts.</div>]]></description>
