- Romeo & Juliet meeting is the inciting incident. If they didn't meet then the rest of the story wouldn't happen.
- Tybalt sees Romeo at the party and gets upset and wants to fight. Lord Capulet says to "let him alone" and "endure him." Capulet knows that if another fight breaks out he could possible die. 
- Romeo & Juliet kiss and then the Nurse takes her away. 
- R&J realize that they are supposed to be enemies.

- The nurse meets up with Romeo & has him confirm that he still wants to marry Juliet. 
- Romeo confirms that they'll get married. Juliet must pretend to go to confession and they'll get married.
- Romeo will also give the Nurse a rope ladder so that he can consummate their marriage. 
- Mercutio is rude to the Nurse.  He calls her ugly and implies that she is a prostitute.
