People with AIDS were 30 times more likely to use assisted death than those of depression or other illness. Oregon's law allowed doctors to prescribe patients with lethal drugs to patients who have been diagnosed by 2 or more doctors with a terminal illness and only 6 months to live. The patients then administer the drugs themselves.
