Students will have 3 picture cards put in a paper oversized wagon picture during a whole class circle. 2 of the picture cards will rhyme, one will not; ie cat, hat and pig. Students will then decide which card to kick out of the wagon by saying "pig, get out of the wagon!" This will be done in 10 minute circles once per day as words get increasingly more difficult to decide on.

For this activity students will be given the opportunity to make their own rhyming book using body parts. They will look through donated magazines for pictures of different body parts, ie head, knee, elbow, back etc. Those pictures will be cut out and glued each onto a seperate page into a flip book. Students will then be given time to go back through magazines to find pictures that rhyme with those body parts, which will then be cut out and glued onto the corresponding page. This may be a 2-3 day activity based on how much assistance is still needed.
