It doesn't mean we promote women are better than men or that we should be given special circumstances, only that we want the same opportunities and consideration in all aspects of life. There are many different theories of feminism, radical feminism, liberal feminism, socialist feminism, cultural feminism, eco feminism, the list goes on. Punk subculture has been a big influence on my life the past 13 years. Though, it may consist of all these things, it's also quite beautiful in ideology, there is a sense of togetherness and support, having a place to belong and promoting individual freedom. People I meet at punk concerts are some of the nicest, open minded individuals I have ever met. All my friends refer to me as the cat lady (I only have 2 cats :) ) In general I am a huge animal lover and a bleeding heart when it comes to animals outside of mankind and volunteer, donate, help where I can and generally just show my care for them in anyway possible. I am studying to be a biologist and work with animals one day. The cat loving culture is a fun, loving and friendly culture. She was a feminist who promoted equality between men and women and would challenge the status quo where ever she went. The clothing and accessories from my culture are some of the most beautiful and intricate pieces I've seen. This culture has a hopeful and positive outlook on life and find beauty in everything, even death which worries and scares other cultures.
