One of the things things I am wondering is that the is person she refers to as ¨it¨ someone she previously knew. Or did they meet for the fist time where at the place where she got sexually assaulted?(Page 46).
What I read does make sense, this is because the book is very clear and not confusing with the story line/plot. This makes it easier to follow along, read, and easier to enjoy.
Some questions I have about the book are, Who sexually assaulted Melinda?and Will Melinda try to get help and speak out (135)?

On page 74 I have a text-to-self,connection. The connection is that one time over winter break I had to go to my moms work. This was very very boring so I also for a second wished school could start again. This is very similar to what Melinda had to do, and the thought she had.
On page 135 I have a text to world connection. The connection is that many people get sexually assaulted in the world. This is exactly what happened to Melinda on this page. This leaves everyone feeling helpless and lost.

There are many conclusions I can draw based of of refereeing. One of these examples is on page number 71. On this page it says it wishes she could somehow get a kid. This is because she believes that Christmas is more fun with a kid. With this we can infer that her Christmas was not the best. On page number 70 it says that she thinks her parents would have been divorced it it was not for her being born. This can help us infer that her parents do/did not have a good relationship.

All the passages on page 81 create a picture in my mind. This is because it takes me back to movies where it has scenes of highs schoolers dissecting frogs and it also describes similar smells and description. Also in almost all of these movie someone passes out and that also happens at the very end of the last page to Melinda. The only difference is that the dissection was no the only reason she passed pout.

Melinda goes to a part and gets raped, sadly she is too scared and confused to speak up (Page 135). This changes at the end of the book when Melinda finally gets the strength to speak up.

I think the authors writing style is detailed and engaging. Throughout the book the author really described Melinda's every emotion. For example on page 135 I could feel her fear and her confusion. This really helped me throughout the book to get engaged and interested.

In my opinion the book speak was a great book. It kept the reader engaged and it was very good at not making things to complicated. I really liked the fact that it was not too fictional and that it did have a lot of real world examples in there. I fell like with these real world connections it was easier to read and to understand for me. (whole book)
