Harris Chapel, which is the oldest building on campus.

Tradition holds that as undergraduates, students are not to walk underneath the Arch, or they will not graduate "on time". Once you are a graduate of the university, it is "allowable" to pass underneath the Arch. While the structure itself invites people to pass underneath, the tradition dictates that students will likely choose to walk around it until they earn their degrees.

With the renovation, the entire inside was completely remodeled, rooms were destroyed for additional bathroom space, and a movie room was added for the students to enjoy. The outside of Bowdon still looks the same as it did in the 60s.

Here he can be seen panning for gold. He was chosen as a mascot because UNCC was established during the gold rush of 1949. This statue is located at the front of campus as you drive in the entrance. Many students take pictures with the statue upon graduation. For a long time standing near the statue was "off limits" so getting a picture almost became a challenge/right of passage.

Though the gardens were originally for biology students to study plants and plant growth, they have become a place for students to relax, destress, and enjoy the outdoors. Any time I needed to take a deep breath and get away from school or extracurricular stress, I went to the Botanical Gardens.
