Ethiopia struggles with frequent natural disasters, such as droughts and deforestation, which makes farming extremely difficult. From what I have read, it says that the UN is working hard to decrease poverty globally, with a primary focus in Ethiopia. They are focusing on improving education in third world countries, in hopes to help those people find better paying jobs and ending their poverty. 
 
Refugees - Ethiopia is the temporary home for many refugees, primarily African refugees. Ethiopia is working hard with the UN to make is easier for refugees to live outside of camps in Ethiopia. The UN Summit on Refugees and Migrants aimed to find comprehensive solutions for refugees and migrants. Ethiopia was one of the most progressive countries in pledging that they would do more to enhance local integration of refugees. They are trying to give refugees education as well as land to farm on outside of refugee camps.
 
Water - Ethiopia struggles with frequent natural disasters, one of those being droughts. This leads to an increase in disease and mortality. And since farming is the most popular career in Ethiopia, is creates the never ending cycle of poverty. The UN is working hard to send relief services to Ethiopia and other countries facing natural disasters. While the UN cannot end the drought, they can help provide emergency relief services to help the situation.

Aids - Ethiopia faces and AIDS epidemic, affecting over 1.2 million people in Ethiopia alone. Seeing as AIDS is an epidemic in Africa, Ethiopia falls into that category. The UN is working hard to find a response to this issue. This includes UNAIDS, and organization dedicated to helping treat those affected by AIDS and trying to eliminate it entirely by 2030.
