I used over 2,000 sugar cubes as a stone substitute, and glued them together with more than 50 glue sticks to act as the mortar. Cardboard was used for the base and as a floor between levels. I also constructed a velarium, or an elaborate fabric roof to block spectators from the sun using muslin cloth, string, and toothpicks as masts.
