Somebody is bringing food, drink, and weapons to the ships. There seems to be a man in purple robes in the background, or being carried. I think this is William because purple is a color only royals and rich people wore. This scene tells me that he cared about helping amongst his men and that he didn't hang back and let everyone else do the work. However, if he's being carried, it could mean the exact opposite.
2. William is on a horse without a helmet, showing his troops his face and letting them know he's alive. This shows that he cares about the moral of his troops and that he likes working amongst them.

People are loading objects onto the boat and giving them to a man in a throne, probably someone royal. William is most likely the man sitting on the throne, who is telling the people what to do. 2. People are bringing lots of weapons and supplies to the boats to prepare for the journey to England. The scene shows that William was well prepared for this battle, and was wealthy, considering the amount of weapons and people helping him.
3. The scene shows that he is well liked because people trust him with commands and that he respects his troops because he does not give up in battle.

Count Eustace carries an elaborate banner, which may be the one given by the Pope to show his support for William’s invasion of England.
4.The scene changes to the English side. A look-out warns Harold that the Norman army is approaching. Back on the Norman side: William, mace in hand, gives a speech to encourage his soldiers.
