         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nick is "paralyses by self-consciousness" Nick is physically and mentally to scared to be making a mistake that will make him look like he was the reason for the disappearance of his wife. Even with that Nick still gets caught up in his lies which makes him look like a suspect. Gillian Flynn wasn't scared to acknowledge the "ugly side" when mentioning about having female villains.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It's rather odd how after the releasing of her book, "Gone Girl" her husband proposed they go on a luxury holiday and that she had the thought of him might be plotting to kill her. When compared it is the same when Nick finds out that Amy is a psycho bitch, planning to kill him at any given moment when she doesn't get her way. It's an odd way of relating to the character... they are both pretty much insane. </div>]]></description>

His life is not really in direct threat but he definitely feels unsafe and one step behind for most of the book. Also this is relatable to the fear diary Amy uses to her advantage (for when the diary is found)</div>]]></description>

She thinks she understands Nick, knows him inside out but Nick and Amy in reality don't ever know what each other are exactly thinking about.
