I have been a stay at home for over 10 years and lockdown has shown me that not only did I already have certain skills in teaching and caring for young people with mental health and learning issues, but I enjoyed learning new skills in this area and I have completed a few online courses to boost my knowledge further. I plan to progress on these courses and gather the skills and knowledge required to go into a full time TA or preferably a 1-2-1 teacher role working with vulnerable children or young people. I have seen first hand just how amazing these people are, how they make a difference, and also, how sought after they are. We have 2 children together and 2 from Martins previous relationship who come and stay often 😊 I've worked in a few different roles from admin to sales executive and self employed. I have a degree in Marketing and Media, Communications and Culture - but as soon as I left Uni and had children I knew Marketing wasn't for me anymore and I wanted to work with children. Been interested in working in a school (primary) for a while, but lockdown and helping 4 children with their schoolwork and entertaining them 24/7 made me certain that's what I wanted to do. I know a room with 30 kids is different- but I love being fun and creative with my kids at home and teaching them new things and seeing them proud of themselves. I wanted a new challenge and to try something completely different to prove to myself that I can’t do more.
