         <description><![CDATA[<div>A fingerprint expert is one who examines, studies, and preserves fingerprints found in a crime scene.&nbsp;<br>Responsibilities:<br>They are to&nbsp;<br>- sweep crime scenes of prints,&nbsp;<br>-analyze, identify, and evaluate/label prints,&nbsp;<br>-use special technology to enhance, examine, and test prints in a laboratory<br>-prepare a report of their findings<br>-They also compare prints to find matches.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas Jennings Case - first case to use fingerprint<br>Victims - Clarence Hiller, his wife, and four kids.<br>Suspect - Thomas Jennings<br>Occured on September 19, 1910 in Chicago<br><br>Around 2 a m, Clarence woke up to his wife and kids screaming. There had been multiple robberies around the neighborhood, so Clarence quickly went to face the intruder. They started to fight and fell down the staircase. The daughter heard 3 gunshots, and the wife started to scream upstairs. The intruder quickly flees, leaving Clarence to die. However, the railing of the staircase just so happened to be freshly painted, so the intruders fingerprints were retrieved and were traced back to Thomas Jennings.&nbsp;<br>Results:<br>Thomas Jennings was found guilty due to the fingerprints found.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I am interested in this career, as I think this is definitely interesting. I find it fascinating how they are able to match fingerprints with ones in databases to find perpetrators. I also think it is cool how everyone has their own unique print. It is very important in crime scenes to have a fingerprint expert available.</div>]]></description>
