1. Captivation
2. Affection
3. Engrossed
The original word is best because the sentence can be interpreted in many different ways, so to keep it that way, passion is the best word. The sentence could be interpreted in the way that Romeo and Juliet share such sweet love for one another that there will be both good days and bad days in their future. But it could also mean their parents were so caught up in their feud that they failed to see how it was affecting their children and the consequences it might have whether good or bad. So, by using passion and not any other word, the sentence can still be up for interpretation.

"Sweet" helps readers understand the word because sweet can mean lovely and kind which are words that can be used to describe love which is one of the meanings of passion.
"Extremities" is a clue to the words meaning because one of the many meanings is "an extreme or extraordinary measure" which could be taken in Act II (such as Romeo being banished). This is a clue because even if such measures are taken when two people are passionate about one another, they will go through extreme measures to be with the other.
The word has a loving and affectionate connotation which helps readers understand the love Romeo and his Juliet share which furthermore helps the reader to know that they would go to extreme measures just to see the other.
