Sra. Godinez. (1) My grandparents migrated from Jalisco and Nayarit To Baja California Mexico. In the early 1950's and 1960's and my parents met and married in the tiny town of Ejido Ruben Jaramillo just south of the beautiful beach city of Ensenada. My grandfather worked as a Farmer, Welder (he was one of the best in Baja at the time) He also worked as a fisherman, and my other grandfather worked as a farmer, horse jockey, and laborer. Some fun stuff to do there is go to the beach, Hiking, Dirt bike riding, Eating fresh seafood, and simply relaxing with family. (2) My family speaks English and Spanish and many times even Spanish. We code-switch between the languages all the time especially with verbs but we understand each other and we speak both languages daily. When we visit our parents (My kids grandparents) Or when we go visit family in Mexico, we use mostly Spanish. (3) We love some chilaquiles, tacos, Enchiladas, Fish tacos, We also love a delicious in-n out burger, sushi, and some pizza. (4) We do celebrate Dia de muertos because my husband's family Who is from Central Mexico has always celebrated. We love to get together for Christmas with family in Mexico most years. We also have adapted Halloween as a tradition and we have celebrated with our best friend for the past 10 years. We also celebrate days like dia de la rosca, Thanksgiving, and New Years eve.

It was my grandparents, great grandmother, great uncle, and both my mother and her sister (my aunt). They had migrated from Acapulco in order to live a better life, and stayed in Huntington Park. I do not know much about my dad's side, but I do know that my grandparents (my fathers parents) had migrated from Mexico, and had kids (dad, aunts, and uncle) here in California (Downey to be specific.) As of now, everyone within my family speaks mostly English, but we still all do speak Spanish due to that being my grandparents only language. Some of my family's favorite foods are my grandma's birria, mole, pozole, tamales, and my mom's enchiladas.

Felipe Martinez.
As far back as I know, my mom's side was in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. that's where my grandma and great-grandma were from. Spanish(Mexico) is the language my grandma prefers so we usually speak Spanish(Mexico) when we visit. though my household is both Spanish and English. we enjoy my grandma's tamales and grandpa's milanesas. just the normal holidays I guess are celebrated. Traditions go for, Teaching the young ones how to make tortillas by scratch, family gatherings, mole festivals, rain dance, camote, from my grandma side, great great grandpa harvested agave(once harvested, they do pulque).
