****Homer says that something about Kate Nibbly “gets his goat”. Later in chapter 16, Kate Nibbly gives her brother a look like she wants him to pay attention to something important about Homer. Using the character’s actions and words, infer why Homer, Kate, and Frank do not appear to like each other. (Find at least 2-3 and cite the page number.)

In chapter 16, Kate gives her brother a look to pay attention to something about Homer. I think that "thing" is that Homer is very cautioned to his surroundings, and he's a great liar. I think that the reason why Kate, Frank and Homer don't like each other is because, Kate and Frank are trying to steal Mr. Willow's money, by pretending that they have the same tickets to the same place and steamship as them. I know so because it states this on page 91. Homer also states in the text on page 91, " They're after the money. I know it, Kate knows it, and Frank knows it." I also feel like it is getting on Homers nerves that Kate is giving him so much attention and not giving him as much so that he will go away. It makes me feel like this by reading page 95-96. Those are the reasons why I think Kate and Frank get on Homers nerves.

Kate, Frank, and Homer doesn't like each other because, in chapter 16 when they met going inside the boat was that Kate gives her brother a look at Homer of something important on him is I think she was telling Frank( Brother) to get something from him or that he looks like a person that would lie. On page 87 Homer was saying that"Kate just gets my goat I think he was saying that because he thinks she's not who you think she is. In the text on page 87 its says"He snatched her gloves from her hand and dropped it in the gutter" So I think she was mad but didn't act like she did. On page 95 I think that Frank and Kate locked Homer in a room because Kate and Mr.Willow likes each other and Frank is trying to keep Homer away from Mr. Willow because they like each other and Homer was mad at Frank and Kate if they locked him in the room.
