         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Chi Ho Minh, the revolutionary communist leader of Vietnam. </li><li>The Geneva Accords were signed by the French and Viet Minh representatives between April and July of 1954.</li><li>One million North Vietnamese civilians emigrated to South Vietnam to avoid persecution from the imminent Communist regime. At the same time, Viet Minh armed forces from South Vietnam were also moving to North Vietnam, as dictated by the Geneva Accord (Vietnam War 1954-1975).</li><li>In Cambodia, The Vietnamese invasion had stopped the genocide of millions of Cambodians by the Khmer Rouge. The pro-Vietnamese People's Republic of Kampuchea was created with Heng Samrin as chairman in January 1979.</li><li>On July 2, 1976 the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was officially proclaimed, with its capital at Hanoi. Vietnam at peace faced formidable problems: in the south alone, millions of people were homeless, and one seventh of the population was sick or wounded. </li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>
