I interpret this image as how people who have different type of problems get different types of care. The pregnant lady is closest to the doctor getting more care and the kids and the old people get less care because they aren’t as prioritized.

This editorial cartoon is made by Gary Varvel who is an American Editorial Cartoonist. It is inspired by Republicans having problems with the healthcare plan in the US. It's expressing people's different views on the healthcare system. The problem is the healthcare system itself. In the cartoon, there are people with shirts saying GOP which represents the republican party. They are expressing what the giant elephant in the room is - healthcare. I interpret this cartoon as emphasizing the controversy and mostly horrific aspects of the healthcare plan. Describing it as a "rope to hang" them or in other words, a lead to death. The healthcare system is causing death to the lives of many constituents by not being able to provide the well-needed and deserved healthcare they should be able to have no matter their financial status.

Written by Rupi Kaur, this poem emphasizes the feeling of being abandoned or left alone by someone/something. She talks about the melancholy one feels after waiting for so long for something they're not sure exists. Although Rupi Kaur may be talking about all 7 billion people on the Earth waiting for somebody they hope for, another interpretation may be a person being left alone - waiting alone for the government, for politicians, hoping for some decision-maker to help them as they struggle to gain access to the necessary services, utilities, and healthcare they need, not sure if anyone truly cares to provide them with their basic human rights - "for someone they're not sure even exists." This poem portrays the feeling of hopelessness; the feeling of somebody who's so desperately in need of something that they're not even sure if they'll be able to get - healthcare.

This photograph by CNN shows that there is no hospital in the next hundred plus miles they specifically left the sign in color and the background is in black and white which shows that people know that there is no hospital but nobody does anything about it. this is a major problem because if there are people who live there, they do not get proper treatment because there is no hospital. which leads to many deaths and sicknesses. This is also just one location and there are many other places where there are no hospitals within reach.
