The University of Leeds is a redbrick university among the Russel Group research-intensive universities and one of the top 100 in the world. The university is located in the heart of Leeds, which is an affordable and student-friendly city with access to art galleries, museums, shopping and sports facilities, as well as green spaces. There is also an international airport, which makes it convenient for international students. Also, when you move to a new environment to study, it can take time to settle in and find friends, but Leeds made this adjustment easy. I was really impressed with the range of activities and opportunities you can get involved in.

The school being situated at the heart of toronto would allow you access to alot of fun activities and a chance to explore the city. It has approximately 43,000 students. This university has 133 partner universities in 37 countries around the globe. Their minimum requirement for masters studies in civil engineering is 3.0/4.33 or B equivalent with English language of 7.0 in IELTS or it’s equivalent.

The University of Bolton is a member of the North West Universities Association, located in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. It has approximately 6,000 students across all sites and courses, with 700 academic and professional staff. Due to the small population (6,000 students) of the university, the students get a lot of support. The small population and the high student to staff ratio makes it easier for the staff to interact with the students. The university has the highest student to staff ratio in the North West (UK). I believe the university has a lot to offer and I’m talking from experience. I am on the verge of attaining my undergraduate degree from the University of Bolton campus in UAE, and i must say it has been a great experience so far. Interactions with the tutors isn’t so hard and knowledge is passed effectively.

For MSc course, the university requires a minimum of Second Class Honours degree and IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent), if English is not your first language.

The University of Manchester is part of the prestigious Russell Group of universities, and it is the largest single-site university in the UK, with the biggest student community. The large student community makes for a lively and welcoming atmosphere for its student body in terms of getting to know other nationalities around the world and making the studies a lot lively. The university campus, situated on Oxford Road, is the largest estate in UK higher education, spanning 270 hectares with 245 buildings, 24 of which are listed. It is within walking distance from the city centre and close to Curry Mile, a road famous for its curry houses and Middle Eastern supermarkets. Travelling up Curry Mile, you find yourself in Fallowfield, the student village that is home to many of the university’s halls of residence. Other notable buildings owned by the university are the Whitworth art gallery, the Manchester Museum, and the Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. In addition, the university also counts 25 Nobel Prize winners among its current and former staff and students.

At Manchester, I believe I will gain experience beyond my degree, gaining skills and opportunities to set me up for success throughout my life. Also, I will get to become part of the largest alumni community of any UK campus-based university. For a Masters course, the university requires a minimum of Second Class UK Honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant field and an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with no sub-test below 5.5, or an appropriate English language qualification.
