Heroes should be strong and fearless

Instructions: Part 1

1. Give your opinion on the discussion topic (I agree/disagree that heroes should be strong and fearless).

   Then, elaborate more by using these prompts to help you:

   • What does it mean to be strong?

   • Do you think heroes have to be fearless?

   • Can someone who is not physically strong be a hero?

   • Can everyday people be heroes?

   • Is it okay for heroes to ask for help? Does that make them weak?

2. Read at least 3 of your classmates' opinion and comment on it. Use at least 3 of these prompts to help you comment on your friend's post. Make sure to label which prompt you are using (exp A: After reading your post I feel that ...)

   • (A) Is your stand still the same after reading your friend's post? (After reading your post, I feel that ...)

   • (B) Do you agree/disagree with them and why? (I agree/disagree with you that .... because ...)

   • (C) Ask for reasoning or evidence (Why do you say that? What evidence could you give to support ...?)

   • (D) Challenge their statement (Are you sure that ...?)

   • (E) If you are unsure with their statement, get them to clarify (What do you mean by ...?)
