You Don't Get Paid Enough

Every time you have to smile politely at a rude/dangerous patient, know that I appreciate you, and you don't get paid enough.

When the stench of infection and/or lack of hygiene fills your nostrils when you're treating a patient, know that you're valuable and that you don't get paid enough.

As you rifle through the red tape of burdensome paperwork and use antiquated equipment due to lack of funding/resources--know that I'm grateful and that you don't get paid enough.

When helping sick and dying people all day brings the mental/emotional strain and physical exhaustion almost to a breaking point-- remember that our society could not function properly without you, and you DO NOT GET PAID ENOUGH!!

I know I can't change your wages, I know this isn't enough, but if I can just make you feel even the least bit appreciated with a bag of goodies, then I will have obtained my goal.

Please know that your work is so necessary and that me and my students are sending much love and encouragement your way.

Stay strong and know that we appreciate you!!
