4. be authentic. a birthday girl is not permitted to listen to everyone's words, so be yourself, express yourself, and make your own decisions!
5. praise yourself; you may not do it enough on a regular basis. so, on your birthday, go ahead and do it.
6. have self-acceptance. I know, I know, it's not the most pleasant thing to say, but I feel compelled to say it because you truly deserve the love that everyone has been talking about.

today is your birthday, one of my favorite human on the planet. the day you are completely thrown into this cruel, cold world, kidding. not literally thrown, but I guess the heavens got tired of your unrivaled charms when you were born. that is why you have come to this hard rock planet. thank you for being born, is the point.

I hope it isn't just me who has to say it; I hope you have realized it as well and have begun to thank yourself for being so strong over the last few months, for being able to get through everything that is far more difficult than the rock itself, for being born, for existing.
