I chose this program because I love working with children and want to make a positive impact on their lives. Furthermore, I had the experience working with children before I came to Canada. During my college program, I have completed my placement at North London Child Center in a preschool room. I have learnt a lot during my placement on how to observe and plan activities for preschoolers. My mentor taught me how to complete the injury report and journal.

I look forward to my third and final placement at the YMCA or the childcare center near where i live.

For this semester, I had the experience of being with preschoolers in London Wardolf School. I have learned different ways to deal with the children who throw tantrums, and i also learned how powerful singing songs with children could be. Furthermore, i have also learned how to extend learning by using observations to support children. I cherish the experiences I had in school.

As I was in the preschool room again, i am looking forward to being with shool-aged children for my fourth semester.

Reflection:

These three artifacts demonstrate my knowledge about children's development in several aspects. They can represent my skills and my understanding of these courses. I have learned how neurons will affect children's brains and bodies, and how important attachment is between children, caregivers, and others. I also learned the differences between self-efficacy and self-esteem, and how self-efficacy will affect children's development. In addition, I also reflected on how injustice and discrimination exist in educational systems, and how I will do so as a future RECE.

As a future RECE, it is essential to understand the factors that will influence children's development. I believe the efforts we make will help us become better educators. As an ECE student, I support children's development by building a trustworthy relationship with them and encouraging them, even though they face failure.

Reflection:

I chose these four artifacts because they illustrate how I will develop curricula aligned with my pedagogy and observation. These artifacts showed how I will extend the play and develop curriculum based on children's interests to support their learning. I have used observations from my placement and my thoughts to extend the play and facilitate them. I also developed a play-based activity based on children's interests to reinforce their mathematical skills. Using technology will also be a trend and an effective way to help teach children.

Program and curriculum development play an important role in children's development, so educators should know how to do this. I believe the practices we developed will help us develop our specific curricula to extend children's learning and support them. As a future educator, I will use my own pedagogy to create appropriate curricula that can help children achieve their milestones. I also believe that children are capable and competent to explore the world if i offer them open-ended materials and questions.

Reflection:

These two artifacts showcase my knowledge of responsive relationships and partnerships. The artifact clearly shows the importance of respecting indigenous cultures and their languages. I have also analyzed the theorist Bell Hooks and her theory against discrimination and injustice in education, and I also reflect on what I will do to respect children of different skin colour and culture, by responding to them and treating them equally.

This section is important, as each educator should respect and treat children from different cultures and complexions equally. I believe the artifacts we have completed will help us align with our pedagogy. As a future educator, I will do as I have written in the artifacts, such as treating children with different colours the same as Canadians. Respecting different cultures can make children feel a sense of belonging and a part of the community.

I have chosen three artifacts because they represent my abilities and knowledge for this section. These artifacts demonstrate my knowledge of daily nutrition and how to avoid food allergies. The second artifact ensured my knowledge of planning filed trip for children. I have also analyzed how to create a safe classroom environment to help children regulate their behaviour.

This aspect is of great significance to children's development, and I believe what we have done will help us understand this deeply. As an educator, I will focus on creating a secure environment that helps children regulate their behaviour and feel valued. I believe the environment is the third teacher. I will also consider their health and nutrition to ensure their daily needs are met.

I have chosen these three artifacts because they represent the knowledge I will use to communicate with families and support them and their children professionally. There are several useful resources included in these artifacts, and I am going to use professional language to support them. I have used the London Cross-Cultural Learner Center to help refugee families. I have also planned an individual support plan to help children reach their milestones.

This part is significant because parents may seek help from educators, and community resources may help them navigate the predicaments. I believe the efforts we put into these artifacts can help us better understand which resources are available to families, and it may be really helpful. As an educator, I will use my knowledge to support children who need extra support and hold meetings with parents to discuss how we can help. Moreover, I will also give suggestions on the available resources that a family may need to help them go through hard times.

Reflection:

These artifacts demonstrate my ability to use research to enhance my knowledge of early childhood education. I have analyzed how war trauma will affect children's well-being and development, and how improtant to be trauma-informed. I have learned how essential attachment is to children's development of self-regulation skills. I have also learned the requirements for students in placement.

It is vital for us to use professional resources to improve ourselves. I believe these works we did could help us improve in the future. As a future educator, I will keep in mind how a safe classroom environment could benefit children who have trauma, and I will build a good relationship with them to make them feel valued and loved.
